Take Private Piano Lessons

Our older or more advanced students often enroll in private lessons, and we would love to work with your child to accomplish his or her goals. We will work on repertoire, fundamentals, and music theory knowledge, and we take your child’s preferences into account: do they want to learn how to improvise or read lead sheets? Would they like to compose? Do you want to pursue an undergraduate degree in piano performance? Regardless of your family’s goals, we’d enjoy the opportunity to teach your child.

Springfield Piano Lesson Cost

We offer affordable lessons in the Northern Virginia area, and we bill via monthly tuition (not on a lesson-per-lesson basis). Monthly tuition packages start at $99 a month for interested families. Of course, we always offer a free trial — it’s commitment-free!

What Will Your Child Learn in Lessons?

All students at MEA Piano Studio get a solid foundation at the piano (both group and private students). They will learn how to read, count, and play with correct posture and hand position. Furthermore, we place an emphasis on music theory, composition, and playing by ear — we want to produce well-rounded, practical pianists.

Our lessons are also fun and interactive — that’s why it’s so rare for students at our location to quit! Young students will enjoy educational games and activities, some of which are away from the piano bench. In short, we aren’t tied to traditional piano teaching methods, and we love to mix things up by using new methods that hold students’ attention. After all, a mentally engaged student will learn more.

Miss Michelle Ayler loves music and is passionate about what she does. She was very friendly towards her students and created a welcoming atmosphere to learn and make mistakes. She is very organized and easy to follow along with. She taught music theory well and understandable. It was taught well compared to previous teachers of ours. She also set up family friendly concerts and got her students involved with music accredited performances and certificates. Michelle developed in my daughter a lasting love and appreciation for music. My daughter continued music lessons into her senior year and currently plays piano with her youth group worship team. Well done, Miss Michelle Ayler, and thank you!
